Its very important to check on the limit cap, and make sure its not too low and causing mysql database connection or query error when you reach the limit gap. This is why we checked on lunarpages mysql database limit as well, and we found as following:

“Up to 50 simultaneous connections per MySQL user, and up to 1500 simultaneous connections per server.“

As you see above, lunarpages allow up to 50 mysql connection at one time, which means your php scripts can have that number of thread at the same time making connection to mysql database.
