Lunarpages MySQL database usage limit set to 1500

Every web hosting company set a usage limit to their client hosting account, this including mysql database connection and request limitation. Its very important to check on the limit cap, and make sure its not too low and causing mysql database connection or query error when you reach the limit gap. This is why we checked on lunarpages mysql database limit as well, and we found as following:

“Up to 50 simultaneous connections per MySQL user, and up to 1500 simultaneous connections per server.“

As you see above, lunarpages allow up to 50 mysql connection at one time, which means your php scripts can have that number of thread at the same time making connection to mysql database. And making a total of 1500 connection per server. But it doesnt mention number of simultaneous query per user. Bottom line is that, this mysql limits is very high, and should be no problem for most websites.

Every cpanel control panel allows user to perform file backup & mysql database backup & email backup, lunarpages cpanel is having these standard feature as well and you can use it to create a backup copy of your web files and database, and download it to local computer periodically.

When we search through lunarpages shared hosting plan and feature page, we can’t find any details about daily backup or backup data for customer website. Later we browse to the lunarpages knowledgebase and help menu, can’t find the backup service or tool info as well.

Since lunarpages is not offering backup services or daily backup, thus its customer responsibility to perform own data backup via cpanel control panel. You can login lunarpages cpanel and go to backup > generate a full backup.. or you can download the database backup or email backup as well.

With all these features putting together, you are now able to host even more websites, 10 websites… 100 websites… or 200 websites… or more.

Some hosting provider offering you unlimited domain hosting but only give you very limited mysql database number, this restricted the amount of websites that you can host. Its common today that each website will utilise one mysql database. Example is this lunarpages review blog made from wordpress blog, and it uses one mysql database as well.

You can login to lunarpages cpanel and go to mysql database section to create new mysql database, add new database and remove existing mysql database is an ease via cpanel.
