This lunarpages review site is already 17 months old, and its my personal hosting review blog, dedicated in reviewing lunarpages web hosting and also posting the latest lunarpages coupon code and lunarpages discount/offer information. Myself is a heavy hosting user, i have lots of websites running, and looking for a web hosting plan is my routine. And so, why not i record down my review and finding through blog and share it with others that are looking for web hosting plan as well.
Currently, this lunarpages review site is ranked quit high in various search engine sites. I am glad to see this happening. Definately, i love when others enjoy reading my blog, and pass it to their friends too. If you enjoy ready, you are welcome to leave a message/posting in here at anytime!
Talking back to lunarpages hosting, they are having the same promotion lately, $4.95 per month for their 2 years shared hosting plan. But they changed the lunarpages coupon code from “spring” to “promo”. Use the new lunarpages coupon “promo” to entitle for the offer. And this coupon code should give you the best discount.

Lunarpages is absolutely horrible. They are running the same typical scam, make it nearly impossible to cancel. Even after taking a month of emails to get them to cancel my account, since they lie about their uptime and features and speed, they then go and bill me anyways for the domain, even after I canceled my account. This is a total scam. Avoid Lunarpages, they make it near impossible to cancel your account.

supprise to see that lunarpages so poor in handling customer cancelation. they should allow easy account cancelation with no question asked.
if you already canceled your account, and they still charging your credit card.. go for credit card payment dispute through your bank.
Details: “if you would like to cancel your account, please contact billing@lunarpages.com with your username, last 4 digits of the credit card on the account for ownership verification and the reason you wish to cancel.”

Lunarpages really does make it hard to cancel accounts. I followed the instructions and contacted billings – but in stead got replies from 1) support and 2) Quality assurance.
Of course I replied saying that I just wanted to cancel – but was warned thatv replying would put my request at the bottom of the ticket queue.
In my view it is not poor customer handling – it is a way of trying to tire you out.
And of course there is a reasonf or wanting to quit Lunarpages (and having all the trouble of re-establishing pages elsewhere (HostGator, actually)) – Lunarpages servers are horribly slow!

Of course, what did you expect?
Unlimited bandwidth. Unlimited disk space. WTF? If that would be true, everyone would have their website hosted there, considering the prices. It’s asking for trouble.

you can use as many require web space to host your web files, which is require to for your website to run properly. Not to simply tost in junk files, create huge backup files, etc which is not require by your website to RUN!
Lots of major hosting company already moving toward unlimited storage & bandwidth.

BEWARE OF LUNARPAGES!!!
These guys have closed my sites.
The whole horror story started about 7 months ago when i was looking for webhosting.
I checked the Lunarpages website and purchased their shared hostingplan, they advertised with banners “UNLIMITED sites, UNLIMITED bandwidth, UNLIMITED storage” (This is COMPLETE bullshit!).
So i was interested because of that “unlimited” and also for the free DDOS protection (wich i highly doubt they have that, as i had so much downtime experience) and because of their “uptime guarantee of 99,9%” i guess they mean they have a downtime guarantee of 99,9% as i have faced so many downtimes that it really annoyed me that i had to contact them so often.
I run a few sites, all WordPress blogs and experienced a lot downtimes (for many hours, multiple times a week).
After their moneyback guarantee period is over they start sending you false reports that your sites are using high resources of their server (note: i had less than 1000 visitors in 3 months and run simple standard WordPress blogs).
Because of that you have to upgrade your hostingpackage (i paid $60 for “unlimited sites, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage” 12 months) to a VPS or Dedicated server.
A VPS starts at $30 a month (so they want me to switch from $60 a year to $30 a month).
I told them i have read negative reviews about the same reason how they contact me (After the moneyback guarantee they literally force you to upgrade to actually rip you off, because your sites are using heavy resources wich is complete bullshit of course) at that time they told me they have nothing to do with reviews from others but they had a final option for me to solve the problems by installing the WP Cache or WP Super Cache plugin.
After a long period of downtimes and many emails from my side they moved my sites to a “cloud” server and within 1 day finally took all my sites down because my sites keep using high resources (note: i wrote them an email and let them know my thoughts and told them i don’t agree with their sneaky upgrade plans) and i still have about 5 months hosting left on that account, and they won’t refund me these months ($5 x 5 months = $25).
Their support is bad, they claim to have the best server technology available, but if you don’t even know how to keep running simple WordPress blogs i highly doubt if they really had any education about servers and webhosting.
Best of all, i have keeped all records of conversations with their support staff (made screenshots) and will create a website specially dedicated to Lunarpages with these screenshots as prove.
People can see that my reviews are honest and not affiliate reviews from website owners who make money with your clicks.
Ripping me off will finally cost Lunarpages more than it brings them!
LUNARPAGES YOU RIPPED THE WRONG GUY!
STAY AWAY FROM LUNARPAGES!!! LUNARPAGES = SCAM

Luckily I was paying through paypal and therefore avoided the troubles of leaving lunarpages after one year of service. I had got the 12 month basic plan for around $60, the same plan available today. For some reason however when attempting to pre-bill me for another year they upped the price to over $127 without a single explanation. The rates quoted in the email are nowhere to be found on their site and the plan does not include a $20 charge for DNS.
As a consumer I am outraged by companies having the power to get away with “errors” which apparently only exist in the type which serves to profit the company and usually requires users to go out of their way to notice they are being cheated. I knew I was safe because I didn’t use a credit card however I don’t even want to imagine the fight I would be in if I had unknowingly allowed lunarpages to bill my credit card. In this case they did warn me with a few emails months in advance, however I was too busy to notice. In most other billing related errors the user doesn’t get this luxury and will only know an overcharge has occurred by checking their receipts after the fact.
If we knew that an automated system is managing these billings then we have evidence that lunarpages uses buggy software. However if people manage the billing then we can attribute this mistake to human error or fraud. In any case we see that this company doesn’t implement oversight and we as users are giving ourselves unnecessary risk by using their services.
Am I saying that we consumers should only trust companies who have proven that they operate legally and without critical errors? Well no, because sadly those don’t exist. They will never exist until a consumer majority agrees not to accept anything less. If we can identify which companies should not exist then they will no longer get the customers they need to survive. Consumers have the power… the power to say NO to anything but perfection from companies. Every company should be triple checking everything, not because they are afraid to make a mistake and get ignored by the public, but because we pay them for only the services that we want, and OVERSIGHT IS A SERVICE WE DEMAND.
The day before my account was terminated I got a voicemail letting me know that it would happen that day. I did appreciate the late warning even though I had no need to save any files, but maybe it was just because it was something I deserved, even if just the least of it.

LUNARPAGES WILL KEEP BILLING YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR YEARS AFTER CANCELING.
I have not been a customer for 8 years now and just got another bill on my bank account cc. Now I have to dispute it all over again. Their customer service is horrible. Be prepared to wait hours and then get disconnected.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
